Our Vision

Montana Bible College exists to support, build, and equip the local church for Kingdom effectiveness. This Study Tour is the outworking of this conviction by creating an immersive, college-level course situated in Israel studying the life and ministry of Jesus for the purpose of equipping Christians for an effective disciple-making ministry. We intentionally designed this study tour for the larger church community as well as our students. Our desire is to create an atmosphere of dynamic learning by bringing together disciples of Jesus from diverse contexts- pastors, ministry leaders, families, full time students, church members, lay leaders, new believers, and seasoned veterans of the faith, who all share a common desire to grow in their love for God, His Word, and His Kingdom mission of making disciples! This experience will not only be a great opportunity to learn and grow but to fellowship, network, and build eternal friendships with like-minded believers.

About

I have been married for 22 years to my lovely wife Christa, and we have three kids- Ethan (15), Eden (13), and Tansy (9). I have taught at the college level for over 18 years, 12 of those at Montana Bible College. I am passionate about God, His Word, and seeing His people healed, transformed, and maturing, by the Gospel. I love teaching, learning, reading, and just about anything outdoors (but especially hiking, biking, and rafting). This will be my third trip to Israel, and the second trip I have co-led. I am excited to journey with you on this life-changing experience!

About

I am a single woman who has experienced the adventures, joys, and challenges of ministry to women for over 20 years. After graduating from MBC in 2012, I had the privilege of completing a residential counseling internship after which I came on staff with MBC in 2014. I am passionate about living life with people and seeing God do amazing things in what sometimes feel like hopeless situations. I love gardening, being active in the outdoors, and living life on the edge of crazy cat lady status. This will be my third trip to Israel and the first trip I will co-lead. We are going to have an amazing journey together!

Logistics

Montana Bible College utilizes Populi, an online learning management platform, to facilitate all our classes, including this one. Once your registration is accepted you will be receiving an email detailing how to create a Populi account (if you don’t already have one). You will be registered for the study tour class as an audit student. It is important that you set up your account and log into Populi, as this will be the platform by which we will be communicating and conveying information prior to the trip as well as in Israel. We will also be sending you short tutorial videos to help you navigate the elements of Populi you will need to use. We realize not everyone is going to be tech savvy, so if you have any questions at any point please don’t hesitate to email Micah or Jenni.

PASSPORT

Israel requires all visitors to have passports that expire at least six months after their scheduled visit (This means your passport must have an expiration date after November 2023).

  • If you do not currently have a valid passport, you should apply for one immediately to ensure you get it in time. It can take 3-6 months to get your passport. It would be good to begin the process now in case there is an error on your passport which requires an amendment.

If you do not have a passport and you are unsure where to begin to apply for one, your local post office can usually help you.

VISA

Israel requires a visa to enter the country.  Passport holders from the USA will get a visa for no charge upon entry into Israel.  There is nothing to do before you land in Tel Aviv.  If your passport is from another country, you need to check Israeli visa requirements online.

AIRLINE TICKETS

Hold off on purchasing tickets for right now. If you are planning on flying out of Bozeman, we will be looking into a group rate which would allow us to fly together on the same itinerary. We will be giving you more information about purchasing airline tickets after January 1st, 2023, so stay tuned. Airline tickets vary, but from experience, plan on spending $1,100 to $1,600/person.

Important Dates

Feb 1, 2023: Payment in full due (balances can be paid before this date). Payment plans are also available upon request

Apr 30, 2023: Last day we can issue refunds for cancellations
